Ringling School of Art and Design
The Ringline School of Art and Design is Florida’s premier design school for students seeking a career in graphic design as well as commercial art. Ringling is located in Sarasota, Florida and was founded in 1931. The school offers bachelor’s degrees only, so no associate degrees are available. In 2001-2002, 701 people applied for admission and only 309 were accepted. Grades do not appear to be a big determining factor, as neither the SAT or ACT test are required for admission.
The vast majority of classes are made up of fewer than 20 students, however many classes have 25-50 students. The most popular majors at Ringling are graphic design and commercial art, design and applied arts, interior design, fine/studio arts and photography.
