The number of SAT test takers soared to over 1,475,620 this year, which is a record number. The College Board, which administers the SAT test, has said this indicates more students than ever are adding college plans to their future. I guess nobody is figuring people are taking the SAT for fun these days. One of the most interesting numbers was that 36% of SAT test takers were first-generation college attendees. I think the federal and state governments better take a look at these numbers and realize that there is a need for more colleges and universities in this country with numbers like that.
