Found in, where else, Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville University was founded in 1934. Offering both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, UofJ only accepts around 1,100 students each year. Using either the SAT or ACT tests for applicants, Jacksonville University’s students scored in between the 25th and 75th percentile on their SATs (940-1163 for 2001-2002) and 78% of them ranked in the top half of their high school class.
The student body is split almost down the middle, 50/50 male and female and the most popular majors are business management, health professions, computer sciences, social sciences and history, and performing arts.
