For many of us, college was not our first priority while attending high school. There always seemed to be something else to get into. If college was not a priority for you in high school then maybe a 2 year college in Florida is what you are looking for. Community colleges and 2 year schools are a great way to transition from high school into a vocation or into a 4 year school or university. Many times, students who attend a community college are more readily accepted than transfers from other colleges and universities. This may seem hard to believe, but trust me, this is usually the case. So, if you did not get accepted to the college of your choice, it may make more sense for you to attent a local Junior college for a year or two and then attempt to transfer from there. You should talk to your school counselor to find out if doing something like this is the right decision for you, but you should know that this is a viable option.
